Hate to break it to you... / WANTED!

I caught softcup tonight and I have two pieces of news for you. One is bad and one is, well, could be either. The bad news is that softcup can no longer afford the time and energy to maintain the Tab Mix extension. The other news, as you might be guessing from the bad news, is that the ownership of Tab Mix will be transferred to whoever is willing to take the job.

If you have the skill and the time to be the one, please let us know. softcup didn't list any requirement for the new developer, but I think it would probably be in everyone's interest if the person does not currently maintain other extensions. softcup is involved with a few other extensions, and with the combinations of family, kids, and work, time is ever a foreign luxury for him.

We apologise for this long delay before releasing the news and await any interested taker.

We're Getting There...

softcup is done with the other extension for the time being and will start to work on Tab Mix. It's not here yet but it's on its way. Stay tuned.

Tab Mix status

I wish I have good news for you, but I'm afraid I don't...

softcup has been working on another extension Tongwen, of which he's been the developer since Firefox 1.0, and doesn't have much time to work on Tab Mix at this moment. It's hard to say when he'll be able to focus on Tab Mix, but he definitely hasn't abandoned the project. Please bear with us for now and we thank you for your patience and understanding. Please also bear in mind that all extension developers are volunteers and have other life commitments. Your support and cooperation are always greatly appreciated.

PS. Sorry for the late response. I've been really sick since before New Year and have been away from the computer for some time...

Current Status on Tab Mix

Some of you might be wondering where Tab Mix is going with the lack of update on this site for some time, so here's the heads-up.

softcup took some time off but is still maintaining the extension. He will start debugging after ICOS (International Conference on Open Source, held in Taipei, Taiwan) where he has a tutorial session on his experience with Tab Mix and FAQ on extensions in general. Depending on his schedule and work load, the next version of Tab Mix is estimated to be about a month away from now. Please be patient in the meantime, and we thank you for your understanding.
